Whole School Curriculum Review (Primary Schools)

Overview

Starting with the curriculum aims and ‘intent’, our specialist advisers review and make recommendations on many aspects of your school curriculum. This includes:

• The intent and how it promotes achievements and ambition
• The implementation, including the progression of the curriculum within and across year groups
• The impact and how leaders can assess whether or not pupils have learned what they were meant to
• How anti-racist, diverse and inclusive a curriculum is
• ‘Shallow dives’ into specific curriculum areas to inform effectiveness and next steps
• Subject specific reviews

What's included?

Activities include:

• Lesson visits
• Meetings with leaders including subject leaders
• Work scrutiny
• Meetings with pupils
• Meetings with governors

Deep dive methodology will be used to examine up to 3 subjects over the course of the review.

A written report will be provided after the review. 

This one day review will be facilitated by one leadership and management adviser. An additional adviser can be used for larger schools or to 'deep dive' more subjects as part of the review
