Advice to schools and settings
The population now has much stronger protection against COVID-19. Whilst there is still a risk of COVID-19 infection which should be treated seriously, the population generally now has much stronger protections against the virus. This means it can be managed like other respiratory infections.
Please see the UK Government guidance for managing cases of infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, in children and young people settings, including education. There is guidance on preventing and controlling infections, supporting immunisation programmes and managing outbreaks and incidents.
