Introduction
This pre-recorded webinar will build teachers’ knowledge and confidence to teach Religious Education in line with the Hackney Agreed Syllabus. This is a forever resource, allowing flexibility about how and when it can be used: for whole staff training all year round, or shared with individual staff and new teachers joining the school.
Product details
Judaism has many differing traditions and practices that have developed over time, and here is a chance to learn about some of the many different branches of Judaism that have formed.
This webinar will explore the history of Judaism and its journey from the Middle East, boosting not only teachers’ subject knowledge, but providing an appreciation of some of the reasons and philosophy behind differing practices, beliefs and dress within our local Jewish communities, including Haredi Judaism.
We aim to boost teachers’ confidence in delivering a curriculum that helps pupils gain a better understanding and appreciation of the world they live in and the people in the community around them, supporting their moral and cultural development and fulfilling the expectation of the statutory Locally Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education for schools to now include the teaching of the diversity within Judaism.
