Healthy Early Years in Hackney
We are happy to announce that local support for Healthy Early Years will be continuing. However, there will be some changes as we transition fully from the local Healthy Early Years (Eat Better Start Better and Physical Literacy) programmes to the Mayor of London’s Healthy Early Years (HEYL) award.
Support for settings to achieve the Healthy Early Years London awards will be based on identified needs. Some examples of the support available are set out below:
- A dedicated email - hellohealthyearlyyears@hackney.gov.uk - to direct any queries to. This email is available to everyone and is also the way you would alert us to wanting to either register or progress with the HEYL awards
- Healthy Early Years London (HEYL) audit support sessions which may be face to face, virtual, in groups or 1:1, depending on the needs you have identified via the audit(s)
- Access to a free menu assessment/support service provided by nutritionists at the Best Start with HENRY team. This is currently available to settings working towards Bronze
