As our preferred provider, we believe that Education Mutual provides a strong, non-profit alternative to commercial insurance. Education Mutual operates within their ‘By schools, for schools’ ethos, run solely for the benefit of member schools with contributions used to pay 100% of valid claims and reinvest all remaining surplus back into the education sector.
Hackney Education oversees the offer and the service provided by Education Mutual on behalf of Hackney schools. - Protection Benefits - from £30 up to £300 per day
- Pre-existing conditions - protect all staff or choose to cover individual situations
- Maternity - benefits up to £10,000 are available
- Waiting Periods - select how best you manage absence with 0, 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 days
- Stress Protection - choose 0, 30 or 190 days cover

We've developed a wide range of services aimed at enhancing mental well-being in educational environments such as Face-to-Face Counselling, Stress Management, Financial Wellbeing Coaching and Menopause Counselling.
Occupational Health:
Our Occupational Health offering is a direct response to the needs and insights of our member schools. This valuable service provides schools with services such as Occupational Health Assessments, New Employee Assessments and Deloitte Legal Services to assist Schools and Trusts in ensuring a safe and health-conscious work environment for their staff.
